Minister's letters
These letters have been written by our Minister, Rev Philip Peacock and can be found here.
Holy Habits
Holy Habits is an adventure in Christian discipleship based upon Luke’s picture of the early church in Acts 2:42-47. It explores and encourages the practice of ten disciplines, or holy habits, that Luke presents in the passage: Biblical teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, prayer, sharing resources, serving, eating together, gladness and generosity, worship and making more disciples.
At our Church we joined with many other Methodist churches and explored these topics in turn over a two year period from 2018 to 2020. One of the ways we explored the topics was by having a weekly email. Many of our members found these thought-provoking and a very useful as a source of information so we thought it worth including an archive of them here on our website for people to refer back to or browse at their leisure.
Hilltop
Hilltop is our Church magazine which is usually produced every few months (not to be confused with our Church notices which are available weekly – see details here). Hilltop includes many interesting articles such as those about businesses and places in our local community, activities that have taken place and thought-provoking reflections. Previous editions are available to read here.
A Methodist Way of Life
The Methodist Church have produced some useful materials on this topic which can be found here. These can help us to express what it means to follow Jesus in the regular, practical actions of worship, learning and caring, service and evangelism.
